Allison Fisher joined Hicks Thomas LLP as an associate in 2010 and now serves as senior counsel. Her practice focuses on a range of business, environmental, managed care, and personal injury litigation, both on the plaintiff and defense side of the bar.

 

Mrs. Fisher’s litigation experience includes trial, arbitration, mediation, motion practice (drafting and arguing), and all aspects of discovery, including taking depositions and discovery hearings. Mrs. Fisher brings a unique and creative perspective to her practice, having majored in theater at the University of Texas at Austin and worked in theater management around the United States prior to law school.

 

Mrs. Fisher is a board member and past chair of the Association of Women Attorneys’ Foundation, the charitable arm of the Association of Women Attorneys. She has been recognized by Texas Super Lawyers as a Texas Rising Star and by LawDragon on both the Next Generation list and the Leading Environmental Lawyers list.

Representative Cases

  • Serving as trial counsel for a dry-cleaning detergent and process additive manufacturer in dozens of environmental and toxic tort matters. The team has defeated hundreds of millions of dollars in claims brought against the company in cases filed in California, New York, and New Jersey.
  • Defending a managed care company in multimillion-dollar arbitrations and in state and federal court, involving contractual disputes and common law claims.
  • Representing the country’s largest mattress retailer in numerous matters, including serving as national counsel for real estate disputes resulting from business shutdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, defending against various types of personal injury claims, and serving as the plaintiff in a complex commercial real estate fraud scheme.
  • Pursuing claims on behalf of clients around the country in connection with medical malpractice and nursing home abuse and neglect.
