Three from Houston`s Hicks Thomas Named Among Texas` Best Young Attorneys

By Hicks Thomas LLP

(HOUSTON) – Three attorneys from Hicks Thomas & Lilienstern, LLP, have been selected to the inaugural listing of Texas Rising Stars. Partner Laura Rowe was recognized for her work in the appellate arena, and associates John Deis and Matthew Rawlinson were both recognized for their business litigation work.

Texas Rising Stars selections were based on peer nominations made by more than 3,000 attorneys who were listed as Texas Super Lawyers in 2003. Those Super Lawyers were asked to identify up-and-coming attorneys who were 40 or younger or who have been practicing 10 years or less. A panel of lawyers selected by the Texas Rising Stars editors made the final selections. Fewer than 2.5 percent of the attorneys initially nominated were chosen for this honor.

“Having three of our lawyers named as “rising stars” is quite an honor for a firm of our size. But that is why we can deliver such outstanding results to our clients,” said John B. Thomas, name partner at Hicks Thomas & Lilienstern.

Texas Rising Stars will appear in the July 2004 issue of Texas Monthly magazine and in the new Texas Rising Stars magazine, a publication co-produced by the publishers of Texas Monthly magazine and Law & Politics Media, Inc.

One of Texas’ premier litigation boutiques, Hicks Thomas & Lilienstern has earned an impressive string of courtroom victories for clients, from Fortune 500 companies to individuals in mass tort litigation.
