Matthew J. Digan is an associate whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and high-stakes business disputes. He represents clients across a broad range of industries in state and federal courts as well as arbitration proceedings. In addition to his commercial litigation experience, Matthew has advised clients on antitrust and competition issues involving merger compliance, collusive conduct, and monopolization. Before joining Hicks Thomas, Matthew practiced antitrust law at a top-tier international law firm in Washington, D.C., litigated complex commercial disputes at a Houston boutique, and served as a legal intern in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.

Matthew has experience handling nearly all phases of litigation including dispositive motion practice, discovery management, and witness and trial preparation. His recent successes include helping secure dismissal of an eight-figure case shortly before trial, obtaining a published Ninth Circuit reversal on a case-dispositive issue, and achieving favorable settlements for clients.
