Joshua M. Fojtik is a litigation associate who represents clients in complex commercial disputes, with experience in managed care disputes, personal injury matters, manufacturing defects, and construction. Josh helps litigation teams navigate complex matters from early case development through trial and post-hearing proceedings.
Josh brings a strong foundation in trial-court practice and legal analysis in combination with practical real-world knowledge. As a part-time judicial law clerk to the Honorable Beau Miller of the Harris County 190th Civil District Court, he reviewed motions, pleadings, and exhibits to brief the court on its weekly docket and attended jury and bench trials. Prior to law school, Josh worked in operations for the largest steel producer in America utilizing his engineering degree to manage steel casting output, metallurgical quality, streamlining and efficiency, and safety. Prior to earning his engineering degree, Josh worked as a construction contractor primarily repairing and installing metal roofing for residential and commercial projects.
Josh’s blend of courtroom experience, technical training, and hands-on industry knowledge gives him a practical, grounded approach to advocacy. He understands how businesses operate, how technical disputes develop, and how complex facts need to be organized and presented clearly. This perspective helps him work effectively with clients, witnesses, and experts while building arguments that are both legally sound and practically persuasive.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys marathon and ultramarathon running, biathlon shooting competitions, hunting, scuba diving, and traveling with his wife, Kim.
