Emma is a litigator licensed to practice in Texas and Kentucky. Her practice focuses on a range of business, managed care, and personal injury litigation.
Emma was born and raised in Kentucky, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law. After law school, she practiced at a plaintiff-oriented firm in Western Kentucky, where she served as legal counsel on a high volume of Social Security disability and SSI claims, independently representing clients at administrative hearings and in federal court. She also represented injured and disabled workers in personal injury and long-term disability matters, including litigation involving a novel ERISA policy-interpretation issue in federal court.
After relocating to Texas, Emma dedicated her practice to representing Texas school districts and community colleges across a broad range of legal matters, including employment law, civil litigation, eminent domain litigation, as well as matters arising under both the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the Texas Public Information Act. Her work in these areas reflects a deep commitment to guiding clients through complex legal challenges and delivering practical, results-oriented counsel.
Emma’s varied experience has built a strong foundation in handling a broad range of legal disputes across multiple forums. Her appellate experience includes briefs before the First and Ninth Courts of Appeals in Texas. She is admitted to practice in Texas and Kentucky, including the Southern District of Texas and the Western District of Kentucky.
