Hicks Thomas is pleased to announce that Senior Counsel Kasi Chadwick has been elected Chair-elect of the Houston Bar Association (HBA) Litigation Section for 2021-2022.
As Chair-elect, Ms. Chadwick will help lead the 2,000-member section, which focuses on serving the needs of Houston-area litigators and advancing the profession through the rule of law, education, inclusion, and community service. As part of her duties, Ms. Chadwick will work to organize Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programming, pro bono projects, and networking events for Houston-area litigators.
The 10,000 member Houston Bar Association is one of the largest metropolitan bar associations in the country.
“It is such an honor to serve this amazing organization and group of people,” said Ms. Chadwick. “The HBA’s Litigation Section is a wonderful organization that helps litigators learn, network, and give back to the Houston community. It is also a valuable bridge between the bench and the bar.”
As Senior Counsel at Hicks Thomas, Ms. Chadwick specializes in commercial and business litigation with an emphasis on employer disputes. She regularly represents employers in pre-litigation investigations before governmental bodies such as the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission. She has previously served as HBA Litigation Section Treasurer and will become Chair of the Section in summer 2022.
“We are immensely proud and would like to acknowledge all the work Kasi has done and continues to do with the HBA,” said Hicks Thomas partner John B. Thomas. “She continues to step up not only for our firm but for our profession and our community.”To learn more or to set up an appointment with Ms. Chadwick, contact our firm.
