Hicks Thomas Senior Litigation Counsel Kasi Chadwick will present an Employment Law Update for the Houston Bar Association at noon on December 12. Ms. Chadwick will discuss recent decisions of the United States Supreme Court and courts of appeals, recent activity of the National Labor Relations Board, and their implications for employment practitioners. The presentation will be interactive, allowing attendees to electronically weigh in on grey areas in the law, providing attendees with a sense of how other practitioners are tackling these undecided issues.
Ms. Chadwick regularly gives presentations on changes in the law and best practices before legal and trade groups, including the American Bar Association, the Texas State Bar, and the Association of Corporate Counsel. She represents employers in a variety of disputes, including claims of discrimination and retaliation before administrative bodies and state and federal courts. Ms. Chadwick is a 2019 Texas Rising Star selected by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers and is a Houston Young Lawyers Foundation 2018 Fellow.
One hour of CLE credit is available from this presentation, which will be held at McCormick & Schmicks-Uptown, 1151-01 Uptown Park Blvd., Houston. Reservations may be made at: https://apps.hba.org/calendar/signup/MjMzNw==.
