Macy is an associate at Hicks Thomas LLP. She draws on her extensive federal clerkship experience, having served as a law clerk to the Honorable Donald E. Walter of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana and the Honorable John S. Hodge, Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
In these roles, Macy managed high-volume dockets, researched and drafted judicial opinions across a wide range of civil, criminal, and bankruptcy matters, and assisted in the preparation of trials, hearings, and case management conferences. This work gave her valuable insight into the judicial decision-making process and the nuances of federal litigation.
Macy earned her J.D. from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where she was a member of the Louisiana Law Review and the Journal of Civil Law Studies. During law school, she also gained hands-on experience as a judicial extern in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana and as a student mediator in the Civil Mediation Clinic.
